2025 Draft Official Rules
Goal: To build the strongest Clamp
Specifications:
Clamp must weigh 1 lb or less.
Clamp mouth must open at least 1" or be disqualified
Clamp must be 100% student original.
Clamp must not have anything that sticks to the steel plate (example=double sided sticky tape)
Submit Entry between June 1-5, 2024.
Judging Procedure:
Judges will verify the 1" rule and 1 pound weight limit. Clamps passing the specification inspection will be eligible to compete in a single elimination tournament. Two Clamps will hold onto the official test material (1/16" thick steel plate). Judges will pull the clamps apart with equal force. The clamp that holds onto the steel plate will advance in the tournament. The finals will be best of 5 rounds. Clamp left holding the steel plate will be Division Winner.
