2025 Draft Official Rules
Goal: To produce the *best Wind Turbine design
Specifications:
Turbine must have a 5/16" diameter center hole to accept the shaft of the Motor used by USSSC Judges.
Diameter of turbine must be 16” +/- 1/2”
Submit Entry between June 1-5, 2025
Judging Procedure:
*Based on recorded Voltage
Turbine will be carefully mounted to the shaft of the XD-3420 DC Motor. Motor-Mounted turbine will be secured 1 foot in front of a 42” industrial fan. Judges will take voltage readings with a digital multimeter for 1 minute and the turbine recorded at the highest voltage of all entries will be awarded Division Winner.
Division Winner announced on June 21, 2025.
